Silently encouraged by Anna Bader and Linda Thomas, though without their knowing of their encouragement, I decided to break my rule about not exhibiting pictures in real life – as distinct from virtually on this web page.
The occasion is the annual ‘open’ exhibition at the Halesworth Gallery, for which entries (max. 2 pp) have to be submitted next week. So a couple of paintings were hastily chosen and Linda agreed to frame them against the clock; which she has done quite splendidly. In fact, I think the framing is rather better than the art.
Anyway, looking like real art paintings, here are the results on Linda’s desk, poised for their journey to Halesworth. Both have of course previously featured in earlier posts, without looking half as good. The price? – well, I thought the framing made the art look so good that I’ve put a £300 tag on each. Of course I do not expect to sell either at any price! But then, I’m not sure I want to.
My expectation proved correct: neither picture sold. But I bought one of Linda’s!
