It is difficult to believe that almost the whole of the month of January, 2017, has passed without me writing a single blog. I do apologise, dear Reader (and I mean singular), for this omission but I’ve been preoccupied with other matters and in any case have painted nothing nor been otherwise artfully employed.

In thinking I had nothing to write, however, I realise now that I have missed a major trick – well, not quite missed altogether for there are still two days to Imbolc; and I am going to write my second blog of the year, seizing on that ‘major trick’ as revealed to me at the London Art Fair nearly two weeks ago.
